Claudio Tarantino was named as having received the highest marks in the CLO theory examination
18 November 2017
Trainee contact lens optician Claudio Tarantino has received the highest marks in a national examination scheme run by the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).
The 29-year-old, who works at Specsavers in Stratford-upon-Avon, came top of the class across the country after sitting the optical body’s contact lens theory exam. In doing so, he receives the ABDO prize.
Having joined the multiple in 2011 with no optical experience, he credits his hard work and the support of his store directors for his progression.
Store director, Jon Belcher said: “To pick up the ABDO prize is a real achievement and testament to Claudio's continued commitment to his work and development. We're immensely proud of what he's achieved and will be supporting him as he looks to the next part of his career progression.”
