Light, sleep and biological time
Recorded at 100% Optical, this video shows how the eye provides us with our sense of time and influences sleep and therefore overall health. The lecture will address how light is detected by specialised photoreceptors for the regulation of circadian rhythm and sleep. We will consider the impact of ocular disease and the new drugs being developed in the field of circadian therapeutics.
