Here comes Santa

With Christmas celebrations in full swing we are a few weeks away from the biggest event on the optical calendar

Christmas tree and gifts

In the first step of Christmas indulgence, advent calendars appear so that a sweet treat can be enjoyed each day to mark the countdown to the main event.

Then the Christmas tree goes up, glistening with tinsel, baubles and sparkly lights and between enjoying mince pies and mulled wine, you probably have headed out to choose an array of presents.

Each aspect of Christmas will have been carefully prepared so that when the main day arrives the presents are neatly wrapped and under the tree and the turkey and potatoes roasted to perfection and placed on the table.

It’s this same level of preparation that goes in to planning the busiest event of the optical calendar — 100% Optical which takes place next month (12—14 January, ExCeL London)

The tradeshow is a celebratory festival of all things optics, and with over 8936 professionals in attendance, delegates will be able to compare and try out the latest products and attend a range of educational sessions to gain CET points.

Father Christmas

100% Optical will host over 200 international exhibitors who will be showcasing their latest products and eyewear collections.

Kirk & Kirk recently spoke to OT about previewing their Centena collection at the tradeshow and TD Tom Davies founder, Tom Davies spoke to OT about displaying the latest cutting-edge eyewear styles.

If you are celebrating Christmas, hopefully you will have a great day filled with festive cheer and if you are attending 100% Optical, the party will start all over again in January.
