Does anyone know the clinical reasons why ishihara tested at 75cm
Would it make any difference to the results
A -2.50D myope would see clearly @40

Why not just go straight to the first pair of diagnostic plates? Those people that can see both digits on each plate with the same intensity will not have a colour vision deficiency. People with red or green deficiency can be detected in the usual way but without having to use the screening plates.
