Driving standards change announced

The DVLA has announced that in addition to the number plate test, “visual acuity (with the aid of glasses or contact lenses if worn) must be at least 6/12 (0.5 decimal) with both eyes open, or in the only eye if monocular”. The AOP will issue advice early next week. -
Annual General Meeting

The Association’s AGM will be held in Cardiff on 15 May. The AGM, which will be hosted at the Marriott Hotel on Mill Lane from 3.45pm, will cover resolutions to be put to the meeting, the Annual Report and financial statements for 2011. A proxy nomination form is available on the AOP’s website. -
Annual Report launched online

The AOP’s 2012 Annual Report will be launched online for the first time this year. Key sections include a summary of the past year’s activity and successes defending AOP members, updates on how the Association continues to support its members and financial information for the year.
