Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK) has appointed Philip Kirk (pictured), to the role of service manager. Mr Kirk joins the company’s team of 45, replacing Eric Spencer, who has retired after 12 years of service.

Mr Kirk will be responsible for managing service contracts and the provision of equipment repairs, as well as the service and installation of all HS-UK products.

HS-UK managing director, Dean Johnson, said: “We are delighted to welcome Philip to the HS-UK management team. With his vast experience, particularly within the ophthalmic industry, he will be an asset to the company and was the ideal candidate for the position.”

Mr Johnson added: “I look forward to working with him to develop new ideas for the future of the HS-UK service division.”

Bringing a wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise to his new role, Mr Kirk has worked with ophthalmic products for most of his career. With experience in both the NHS and private sector, he has held roles as both a service engineer and manager for over 20 years.

Speaking about his appointment, he said: "I am really excited to be joining the HS-UK team. HS-UK is a well respected company within the ophthalmic industry and is known for high-quality products, service and support.”

“I am looking forward to building on the solid foundations of the existing service department and helping to develop new ideas, to further support HS-UK customers,” he concluded.
