AOP and Media 10 announce continued partnership to deliver 100% Optical

The partnership between the AOP and Media 10 has officially been extended until 2025

The Association of Optometrists (AOP) and award-winning events company Media 10 have announced their continued partnership to deliver 100% Optical for a further three years, until 2025.

The AOP is celebrating nine years as the trade show's official UK partner, having supported the event since its launch.

100% Optical returns to ExCeL London in person this weekend (23-25 April) for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020.

Adam Sampson, AOP Chief Executive, said: “After a two-year hiatus, there is no doubt that 100% Optical will be extra special for all of the profession this year, so I’m delighted to announce that we are extending our official partnership with Media 10 to deliver the show for our members and the wider sector. The continued growth of the show and unrivalled education programme on offer is testament to the success and strength of our partnership.”

Event Director of the show, Nathan Garnett, said: “We’ve always felt that for 100% Optical to succeed, we would need to be working with those professionals working within it to understand their needs. Working with the AOP and delivering such fantastic content has allowed us to create the UK’s only major trade show, which attracts a high percentage of people working within this fabulous sector. We have some great ideas for working together in the future, and additional content we can explore as the optical sector continues to work closer with the NHS, as independent opticians have a renewed importance on our high street, and as we emerge from this pandemic.”

Dr Ian Beasley, AOP Head of Education, said: “100% Optical 2022 is set to build on the success of previous years. With more than 130 sessions taking place over the three days, we’re looking forward to welcoming registrants back to a live event environment – giving them a head start on CPD through our accredited sessions, as well as the opportunity to listen to thought-provoking talks, gain industry insights and meet hundreds of UK-based and international exhibitors.”

Visitors can still register to attend this year’s show, which will open its doors at an earlier time of 9am this year, via the website, www.100percentoptical.com

AOP journal, Optometry Today, will also continue as official UK media partner, promoting the event to professionals across the optical sector.
