Extended opening times announced for UK's biggest sector trade show 100% Optical

100% Optical takes place at ExCeL London from 23-25 April 2022

Less than a month away, the UK’s largest optical trade show 100% Optical returns in 2022 with extended opening times so delegates can make the most of their visit and not miss out on AOP education sessions.

Due to visitor demand, the three-day event being held between 23 and 25 of April at London’s ExCeL centre, will now open at 9am across all three days – providing a packed programme of education throughout the show.

Dr Ian Beasley, AOP Head of Education, said: “We’re pleased to be able to facilitate the extended opening times for delegates – which is a first for the show and means people can grab a coffee and network with peers before the education sessions start at 9.30am. While pre-booking of education has proved popular, there will be additional capacity for many sessions on the day – you may just need to get in there early to secure your spot.

Four new CPD sessions were announced earlier this month including talks on community eye care pathways for people with learning disabilities as discussed by Trevor Hunter and Grace McGill and an early-career research showcase chaired by Dr Sam Strong.

Other highlights include a peer review on myopia management on all three days with Luan Henson, an eye care professional consultant for Essilor, and a discussion workshop on the Monday in the Optical Academy on domiciliary clinical cases with Zetun Arif, domiciliary partner at Specsavers.

The sessions will provide an early opportunity for 100% Optical delegates to secure points under the GOC’s CPD scheme – launched at the beginning of 2022.

Further details on all sessions and visitor registration is available on the 100% Optical website, www.100percentoptical.com
