How to get involved

Help us spread the word on the importance of children’s eye health by sharing our campaign resources with friends and family

For our A B See campaign, we’ve put together some digital and printable resources to help you spread the word about the importance of looking after young eyes as well as making it fun for children to learn about eye health.

The easiest way to get involved is to download our campaign pack which includes a video for social media, information leaflet, worksheets for children and more.

Making the most of your campaign materials

There are lots of ways to get involved in the A B See campaign. To help you get started we’ve compiled some tips.

Video for social media

Social media is a great way to spread the word - you can use our short video on social media, along with a link to, www.aop.org.uk/absee, using the hashtag #ABSee. Don’t forget to ask your friends and family to do the same.

The AOP will also be sharing social media posts – find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

OT has also produced a patient-friendly video for practices to use, which is now part of the electronic campaign resource pack. The short video explores five simple tips that parents can follow for protecting their child's eyes.

Patient leaflet

Use our leaflet on children’s eye health to find out why sight is so important for a child’s academic and social development. We recommend that children have a sight test from around the age of three, at least every two years, so that any problems can be picked up and treated early.  

Children’s worksheets

Print our worksheets Animal eye facts and Design glasses and draw eyes for your child to complete – to make learning about eye health fun. 

Website banner and MPU

If you have a blog or a personal website you can help promote the A B See campaign by uploading the MPU or banner and linking to http://www.aop.org.uk/absee

They can be uploaded in the same way you would upload any image.
