Awards host announced as voting opens in members' choice categories

Jo_Caulfied200We are delighted to announce that writer and comedian Jo Caulfield will be hosting the 2019 AOP Awards. 

Often found headlining the UK’s biggest comedy festivals, Jo appears regularly on shows such as Have I got news for you and Just a minute, and has written for Ruby Wax, Joan Rivers and Graham Norton, among others. Described as ‘brilliant, endearing, feisty and garrulous’ by The Guardian, Jo will be bringing her unique style of comedy to the AOP Awards ceremony on Sunday 13 January. 

Commenting on her involvement in the event, Jo said: “It’s great to be part of the AOP Awards, recognising the amazing work of everyday eye health heroes and those inspiring the next generation of optometrists. I’m looking forward to celebrating with the winners and finalists on the night.”

MEMBERS’ CHOICE VOTING OPENS

Voting is now open in the 2019 AOP Awards members’ choice categories: Product of the Year and Frame of the Year.

Decided by a member-only vote, the categories recognise outstanding innovation and design in optics. Winners will be chosen by AOP members, who will be emailed a unique voting link from online voting specialists Mi-Voice on 1 November, and at regular interval thereafter.

Names of the six Frame of the Year and four Product of the Year finalists, along with the 11 public vote categories, are also available on the AOP Awards 2019 pages.
