AOP Awards host announced
Dr Phil Hammond taking to the stage for the AOP Awards 2018
We are pleased to announce that broadcaster, campaigner and comedian, Dr Phil Hammond will be hosting the AOP Awards 2018.
Dr Hammond, who is a familiar face from shows such as Have I Got News for You, The News Quiz and The One Show, will be presenting awards across 15 categories on Sunday, 28 January. Commenting on the AOP Awards 2018, which are sponsored by CooperVision, he said: “I am very excited to be involved with the 2018 AOP Awards. Last year’s entries showed just how much ambition and passion there is within the profession, and I’m looking forward to meeting those making an important difference in this vital sector.”
Patients and colleagues can show their support by voting online in 12 award categories. AOP members also have the chance to vote in two members’ choice awards, Frame of the Year, and Product of the Year, via an exclusive link sent by email. The final accolade to be awarded on the night, the Lifetime Achievement Award, will be chosen by a panel of industry judges.
The Awards ceremony, which takes place at ExCeL London during education and trade event 100% Optical, will include a drinks reception, dinner and live entertainment.
