Education takes centre stage at 100%
Three day event attracts a record footfall
With education ranging from career development and clinical skills to sessions on the future of optometry, this year’s 100% Optical, 4-6 February 2017, offered content for optical professionals across the sector.
AOP members made the most of exclusive education in the AOP lounge, including peer discussions and debates as well as a dedicated ‘pre-reg boot camp’. We opened the event with a viewing of our 2016 legal film, ‘On the record a complaint has been made,’ followed by a live Q&A discussion with our in-house lawyers, Legal and Regulatory Services Director, Gerda Goldinger, and Assistant Director of Legal and Regulatory Services, Fiona Mitchell.
“The best show in the UK, 100% fantastic”
Other event highlights included Bruce Evan’s session, ‘The Role of Optometry in Dyslexia’ and Margaret Woodhouse’s, ‘Tips for tots’, which provided guidance on sight tests for children. Optometrist and AOP member, Izhak Simkin, who attended Bruce Evan’s talk, rated the session highly as well as commending the event overall, saying 100% Optical was: “The best show in the UK, 100% fantastic”.
100% Optical will return to ExCel, London on 27-28 January 2018.
