2017 CET and events launched
Extensive education and events programme
We’re delighted to be launching our extensive 2017 CET and events programme, suitable for optometrists, dispensing and contact lens opticians.
Running throughout the UK, in a range of interactive and non-interactive formats, the programme offers individuals more than 200 CET points throughout the year.
Dr Ian Beasley, the AOP’s Head of Education, said that the programme will meet diverse education needs: “There are some exciting new developments coming this year in response to demand and changes in the sector. In 2016, we successfully refreshed our programme – designing it specifically to meet new GOC requirements and the range of work carried out by all practitioners. This has put us in an exceptionally strong position to grow the programme in new ways in 2017.”
More than 20 national events return in 2017 including the popular peer discussion and legal roadshows – all providing excellent networking opportunities to meet and share ideas with peers. This year’s programme will also include new online skills guides, video CET exams every two months and innovative CPD webinars.
Other highlights of the programme are CET, in print and online, through Optometry Today (OT) and face-to-face professional development courses. Members and OT subscribers can also benefit from further networking and interaction opportunities through the online CET and events forum.
