Optometrists health and wellbeing survey

We’re encouraging members who have not yet taken part in our wellbeing survey to do so before the survey closes at midnight on Wednesday 7 December.

The survey is part of research we’ve commissioned Aston University to conduct, which looks into the wellbeing of optometrists in the UK.

We’re keen to have views and feedback from a broad range of members; with tailored sections for both employees and employers included. We want to hear about members’ everyday practice, as well as their aspirations and long term goals so that we can better support them and, where possible, work towards tackling common issues.

Members have been invited to take part in the wellbeing survey via an email, from our SurveyMonkey account, which includes a unique link to the online questionnaire. Those who have not yet completed the survey were sent a reminder on Monday 28 November. If you have been unable to find your email please check your junk or spam inbox.

The survey will take 15 to 20 minutes to complete and focuses on work-related pressures and any resulting stress faced by practising optometrists in the UK.

All data collected will be kept completely confidential and the anonymous survey responses will only be used in relation to this study.

You can also read more about our wellbeing survey in the recent Optometry Today article The science of stress.

Thank you to all of those who have taken part in the survey so far – results will be available in early 2017.
