Optometrists and dispensing opticians are being urged on to take part in an online survey about paediatric spectacles dispensing.
Developed by Aston University PhD student and director of professional examinations at the Association of Dispensing Opticians (ABDO), Alicia Thompson, the survey aims to gather useful information on the typical behaviour of practitioners when dispensing for children. It also aims to identify any issues concerning product availability and function.
It is hoped that the results of the questionnaire will identify any training needs which are required in the optical sector regarding dispensing spectacles to children.
The questionnaire should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Open until August 15, the survey consists of 34 questions, most of which are multiple choice. It is emphasised that those who take the questionnaire should be current, full registrants with the General Optical Council (GOC).
