A senior lecturer in optometry at Aston University is calling for practitioners to take part in a short online survey about myopia control.

Dr Nicola Logan is currently working on a research project which aims to evaluate how willing optometrists in the UK would be to referring suitable patients for a study on using low dose atropine to slow myopia progression in children.

A collaborate study between Aston, Glasgow Caledonian and Anglia Ruskin universities, as well as Queens University Belfast and Kings College London, it will also explore the current mode of practice in relation to myopia control, and how many optometrists actively try to control its progression in children and what intervention techniques they use.

The questionnaire consists of eight questions, and should take no longer than five minutes to complete. Practitioners should complete the survey by 31 May.
