Opti 2020 welcomed 28,000 visitors from 93 countries at Fairground Munich this weekend (10–12 January), with 605 companies showcasing products across 60,000m2 of exhibition space.

The event received ‘top marks’ from 92% of trade visitors and experienced an increase in the number of international attendees.

Opti’s education programme took place at the Opti Forum, which hosted 950 minutes of presentations with 33 lectures and 2900 visitors attending over the three days of the event.

London-based eyewear brand, Covrt Project, won best newcomer at the Blogger Spectacle Award as voted for by 25 eyewear and lifestyle bloggers from 11 countries.

From 2021, Opti will alternate between two locations. It will take place in Stuttgart on odd years due to availability issues at its current home, Fairground Munich.

Opti project director, Bettina Reiter, said: “The experienced Opti team knows the industry, knows the trade show, and has been organising this high-level event for many years. Opti will continue to remain Opti at this new location.”

Opti 2021 takes place from 8–10 January in Stuttgart.
