The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WCSM) has formally appointed dispensing optician and practice owner Huntly Taylor (pictured) as its new master.
Mr Taylor was made master during the company’s annual service at St Bride’s Church in London last week (2 October).
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Taylor said: “Having come to Apothecaries Hall since receiving my freedom of the company in 1995 I am very proud to become master.”
Mr Taylor opened a practice in Brighton in 1993 and was a founder director of the Eyecare Information Service. He also served on the council of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians and is a trustee of the WCSM Educational Trust.
