The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has opened nominations for its 2019 BCLA Awards.

The awards will take place on the final night of the annual conference and exhibition in Manchester (May 30–1 June).

The awards honour practitioners who have displayed excellence in eye care and a passion for new techniques that are transforming everyday practice.

Recognition from your peers is arguably the ultimate accolade and the BCLA Awards are held in incredibly high esteem across the profession. We look forward to receiving a high standard of nominations and submissions and the competition is sure to be strong.”

Categories include Dry Eye Practitioner of the Year, the Young Contact Lens Practitioner Award and the BCLA Industry Award, which is given to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession in relation to a product, technology or concept.
