Oklahoma to become SECO member state

The Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians will join other states including Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee

SECO

The Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) is set to become the first member state addition to SECO International since 1947.

OAOP will become the 13th SECO member state pending the outcome of the vote, which will take place at the House of Delegates meeting on 23 February at SECO 2019 in New Orleans.

Member states, including Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, have access to education classes, a network of peers and exposure to best business practices.

President of SECO International, Emilio Balius, said: “Member states serve as a conduit to ophthalmic professionals across the country. These professionals enrich the SECO organisation by bringing distinct and diverse knowledge and experiences to the community.”

The OAOP represents over 500 optometrists and leads on education and opportunities to improve vision, eye care and healthcare.
