Vision Expo East 2019 will feature an expanded education offering when its returns to the Jacob Javits Centre in New York on 21–24 March.

The event will include business and healthcare focused education programmes that have been designed to provide attendees with the “complete education experience.”

Co-chairman of the conference advisory board, Dr Mark Dunbar, said: “The new education at this year’s show offers attendees access to a range of information presented in new and exciting ways. Hands-on sessions, in-depth demonstrations and creative competitions are each designed to engage attendees and foster an environment of collaboration.”

A programme focused on myopia will include sessions such as Managing myopia: Possibilities and probabilities, which will be delivered by the Brien Holden Vision Institute.

The show’s Leadership Forum, which has been developed by the co-founder of presentation training company Influenceology, Roberto Monaco, will include three business focused courses.

For insight into the latest trends, products and services, the Innovation Series will deliver 10 courses that will examine industry developments, such as lens and frame technology.

OptiCon @Vision Expo returns after debuting at last year’s event and will deliver an education programme and exhibition hall for dispensing opticians, contact lens technicians and ophthalmic professionals.
