Organisation’s new workshops replace its annual October roadshows

The business support group for independent opticians, SightCare, has announced the launch of a new programme of workshops, which will be hosted across the UK from September to the end of the year.

The workshops are designed to offer SightCare members the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops covering a range of business-related topics at their convenience. The new programme replaces the organisation’s three-week roadshow which previously took place in October.

Commenting on the new programme, SightCare chief executive, John French, told OT: “We are delighted to be working with our partner companies to offer our members the opportunity to attend a variety of different workshops throughout the year and also for the first time be able to offer them the opportunity to earn CET points from some of these events.

The new programme features both evening and full day events, Mr French confirmed, adding: “Each workshop in the programme will be an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, share experiences and stay up-to-date with what’s happening in the sector. They will cover subjects and content that are practical and transferable to our members’ businesses.”

Workshop spaces will be limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. For more information and to register visit the SightCare website or email the organisation.
