London’s Medical Society is to host the autumn meeting of the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians (the FMO). The event will bring together all the different sectors of product and service supply for the optical profession.
Delegates from the frame, lens and equipment divisions of the FMO are set to gather at the historic organisation in the Harley Street area of London on Wednesday, 21 October.
Plans for Optrafair 2016 will be high on the agenda with a presentation from the FMO’s new show partner, Mark Allen Healthcare. Its managing director, Jon Benson, will share his thoughts on the future of the trade show.
The meeting will also feature a presentation on the most advanced aspects of current ophthalmology and surgical vision correction, which will be given by Nigel Davies, consultant ophthalmologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, who has a specialist interest in cataract, retinal problems and glaucoma.
