July Objective Structured Clinical Examinations report a 75% pass rate
04 August 2015
A 75% pass rate was recorded for the latest Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), which was sat by 324 pre-reg optometrists in July.
The pass rate rose from 61% recorded in the previous September sitting of the OSCE, which was sat by 121 pre-reg optometrists.
The AOP congratulated all pre-reg optometrists who passed their OSCEs, reminding them to contact its membership team to update their membership grade ensure they have the right cover in place.
Commending the latest cohort of newly-qualified optometrists, the College of Optometrists’ director of education, Jacqueline Martin, said: “Passing the OSCE is the culmination of a lot of hard work and those who have passed should be very proud of all they have achieved during the challenging, but rewarding, pre-registration period.”
