The Phoenix Hospital Group has partnered with the London Eye Diagnostic Centre (LEDC) in order to expand its diagnostic and outpatient treatment portfolio.

The agreement sees LEDC staff move to the hospital group’s Harley Street outpatient and diagnostic centre with immediate effect to offer its full range of ophthalmic diagnostic and clinical services.

The facility already offered optical coherence tomography, fundus photography, laser treatments and an IVI suite.

LEDC staff includes: Professor Ted Garway-Heath, a senior surgeon and academic specialising in glaucoma; Jonathan Clarke, who is a complex glaucoma and cataract surgeon; Ananth Viswanathan, a glaucoma and cataract surgeon trainer; and Narciss Okhravi, an ocular inflammatory and retinal disease expert.

Discussing the partnership, CEO of the Phoenix Hospital Group, Andrew Barker explained that the company has grown extensively over the last three years using an approach that aims to “build our services around the very best consultants.”

He added that the partnership will enable the group to meet the growing need for ophthalmic diagnostics.

Director of the LEDC, Mr Viswanathan, said: “We have a long history of providing exceptional patient services, which coupled with the excellent and comprehensive Phoenix facilities will make a superb combination located under one roof.”
