Optometrists are invited to attend a one-day seminar on cataract and refractive surgery being held by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London on 16 November.

The seminar will be chaired by consultant ophthalmic surgeons Allon Barsam (pictured) and Professor David O'Brart.

The programme will also feature national and internationally recognised speakers and provide an update on the latest topics in the field of cataract and refractive surgery.

The morning is dedicated to cataract surgery and includes a video-based symposium. The afternoon is dedicated to refractive surgery, which will include both laser and lens-based refractive surgery, as well as diagnosis and management of complications.

The organisers highlight that the event is open to ophthalmology’s allied professionals and that it will feature opportunities for networking throughout the day.
