Registrant General Optical Council (GOC) member, Glenn Tomison, and lay council member, Rosie Glazebrook, will serve in their posts for another four years.

The Privy Council reappointed Mr Tomison, who is chair of the GOC standards committee, and Ms Glazebrook, who is chair of the registration committee.

Both Mr Tomison and Ms Glazebrook are also members of the nominations committee, which has responsibility for appointing and reappointing GOC committee members.

GOC chair, Gareth Hadley, said he was delighted that the pair have been appointed for another term.

“Their expertise and contribution has been invaluable over the last four years and I look forward to continuing to work with them as we progress our strategic projects to introduce new business standards and reform education and training for students and qualified practitioners,” he highlighted.
