GOC head of strategy, Alistair Bridge, reflects on how the new standards of practice rule book should offer more detail and direction to the profession

You might have read over the last couple of years about the General Optical Council’s work to make our fitness to practise process more efficient. This is important because complaints we have to act on will always be a fact of life. But, as much as possible, we want to focus on helping registrants keep out of the fitness to practise process altogether.
