Study participant call
A researcher is calling on optometrists from across the UK to participate in a project exploring clinical decision-making and referrals in practice.

The study, which is part of the College of Optometrists’ president, David Parkins’ professional doctorate, will investigate the impact and effectiveness of the current optometric CET scheme on clinical decision-making and referral practice.

Supported through funding from the Central LOC Fund, as well as Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich local optical committee, the project is being supervised by Professors Bruce Evans and Dave Edgar, and Dr Martin Benwell.

Those who complete the study, which is accredited for one CET point, will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of the two iPads.

Practitioners interested in taking part in the study should visit www.optomscenarios.co.uk and email a completed consent form to [email protected], before registering on the website.
