The AOP has launched a new leaflet for patients outlining what happens during a home sight test and how they can find an optometrist who provides domiciliary care.

The domiciliary eye care leaflet provides useful information for patients who cannot attend a High Street optometry practice because of a mental or physical disability.

Alongside an explanation of the domiciliary sight test process, the leaflet explains who is eligible for NHS-funded sight tests and help towards the cost of spectacles.

All AOP patient leaflets have received the Crystal Mark from the Plain English Campaign, meaning they are accessible and easy to understand.

The collection of patient leaflets can be found on the AOP website, together with blogs, videos and other patient-facing eye care resources.
