A free webinar providing an overview of the General Optical Council’s (GOC) Education Strategic Review (ESR) will be held on Tuesday 15 September between 7-8pm.
During the online AOP event, the GOC’s director of education, Leonie Milliner, will share details of the aims of the review, highlight key aspects of the proposed new educational framework and outline how optical professionals can take part in the GOC’s consultation on its plans.

AOP policy director, Tony Stafford, told OT that effective delivery of the ESR is important for the optical sector.
“It will set out the framework for how optical professionals of the future will be educated and trained. We want all our members to understand and engage with the ESR, understand its proposals and how they can comment on its development,” Mr Stafford highlighted.
“We are pleased that GOC Education Director Leonie Milliner has agreed to speak to members about the ESR proposals and the current consultation,” he added.
