AOP to continue “successful” 100% Optical partnership for a further three years

The partnership between the AOP and Media 10 has officially been extended until 2022

The AOP and events company Media 10 has announced the extension of their “successful” partnership on 100% Optical, which will now continue until at least 2022.

As the trade show’s official UK partner, the AOP plays a pivotal role in the development of 100% Optical alongside Media 10, ensuring that the event continues to meet the changing needs of the Association’s members, as well as the wider optical sector.

OT will continue in its capacity as official UK media partner, having promoted the event successfully to professionals across the optical sector in previous years.

AOP chief executive, Henrietta Alderman, said: “The strength of our partnership is evident through the year-on-year growth we have seen and the feedback we get from our members who attend.” 

Ms Alderman explained that the show’s success is a result of “ensuring that visitors benefit from in-depth, thought provoking content through our education programme and insight in to the latest, trends, technology and brands that will shape the profession in the future.” 

She added: “2020 will be a key year for us too, with planning already underway on a range of enhancements and new additions to ensure the show stays fresh and relevant. There is no doubt that 100% Optical is the flagship event for the sector and we are proud to be part of it and thrilled that it provides the opportunity for so many in the profession to come together under one roof.”

Event director of the show, Nathan Garnett, said: “It is fantastic news that we have reconfirmed our successful partnership with the AOP through to 2022.”

Mr Garnett emphasised: “Since we launched the event, the AOP has provided world class education, and helped us curate a show designed for optical professionals by the very people we are looking to attract. Coupled with unparalleled media support from OT, this successful formula has led to six years of consecutive growth, both in delegate numbers attending the event and in exhibitors supporting it.”

“100% Optical 2019 is set to continue that trend as we look to open this Saturday with a healthy increase on delegate numbers again,” he added.

100% Optical 2020 will be held at ExCeL London on 25–27 January, 2020.
