Why did you enter the AOP Awards 2018?

We decided to enter the AOP Awards in order to recognise our achievements and commitment as a small, close-knit team.

Can you describe the Awards in three words?

Exciting, special and gratifying.

How did it feel to win?

We couldn’t believe it when our name was called! It was an absolutely fantastic moment and really rather surreal.

What does winning mean to the optical team?

It’s a great feeling to be recognised for the work that we do. There has been a real buzz around the practice, amongst our patients and in the local community as a result.

Why are the awards important for the profession?

It’s important to recognise and appreciate outstanding achievements and the awards provide the profession with a platform to do that.
