Countdown to 100% Optical 2018

OT  looks at the on-stand exhibitor activity to keep an eye out for at 100% Optical 2018

100% Optical

Industry trade show, 100% Optical, is just over a week away from its fifth anniversary celebrations at ExCeL London (27–29 January). OT reports on what some of the exhibiting companies have planned

Software solutions company, Ocuco, will exhibit for the first time alongside OptiCommerce on stand B210. They will showcase Acuitas, which manages the entire patient journey, as well as provide information on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Sales manager at Ocuco, Fergus Murphy, said: "With the implementation of the GDPR fast approaching, we wanted to make sure we are available for our customers to go through any of their concern or questions."

"It’s also a great opportunity to showcase our software solutions and our integration with OptiCommerce products, all at the one stand," he added.

De Rigo will return to 100% Optical at stand W140 to showcase its portfolio of brands, including the new Chopard Ice Cube collection, as well as hosting a happy hour on Saturday from 12pm.

The company said: "Whilst maintaining traditional features such as its true Italian high quality, tradition, sophistication and excellence, the Ice Cube models reinterpret current trends in Chopard’s pure style."

Glasklar from Positive Impact will launch a number of new spectacle cleaning products at 100% Optical on stand E83.

The company will showcase four new dispensing bottle finishes, as Positive Impact aims to match every practice’s colour and style. An upgrade to its cleaner atomisers and CE-marked formulation cleaning solution will also be exhibited.

Managing director of Positive Impact, Maxine Green, said: “We know the importance of keeping a consistent branding image, and so do our customers. That’s why we believe that bringing more options to our range will help practitioners to match their Glasklar system in practice even more.”

100% Optical Silhouette

On stand L110, Shamir will feature prize draws and new campaign launches, as well as the return of its F1 Simulator.

The lens company will launch its Indulge with 2 national campaign, which Shamir said will allow customers to gain more margin and business growth while offering patients its range of lenses.

Shamir’s lens consultant, Andrew Copley, will lead a CET workshop on progressive lens non-tols on Monday at 3.30pm. He will discuss lens attributes as well as non-tol rates within the industry.

Silhouette will be showcasing its range of prescription lens solutions that are available under the Silhouette Vision Sensation (SVS) programme. New frame collections, such as the Alpha range will be on display, and the eyewear company will also highlight recent development of its shop-in-shop retail display units.

Head of marketing for Silhouette Eyewear, Karen Parsons, said: "We hope to re-create a warm and accommodating space on our stand and also enjoy a similar level of sales success, too. We feel confident that with our SVS programme and our exciting new Alpha concept, our 2018 product line up is set to be the best yet."
