AOP enters into partnership with the University of Bradford to offer OSCE course
The Association and the institution will offer pre-regs the opportunity to take part in an OSCE preparation course in June
20 April 2017
The AOP has confirmed a partnership with the University of Bradford that will see the School of Optometry and Vision Science host a refresher course for pre-reg optometrists ahead of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
The full day event, which will be held at the University of Bradford on 20 June, aims to give pre-regs in attendance the opportunity to experience a variety of OSCE stations, under exam conditions, and receive feedback on their performance.
The event is open to all pre-reg optometrists, but will be of particular interest to those completing their pre-reg period in an independent or hospital setting who may not have access to structured guidance course offering mock OSCEs.
Commenting on the new partnership, the AOP’s head of education, Dr Ian Beasley, said: “The University of Bradford has a long history of offering this type of support to students and we are delighted to be partnering with them on this initiative.”
The course fee is £275 and includes handouts, lunch and refreshments.
