28 September 2015
‘Europe’s fastest growing optical event’, 100% Optical, has announced that its first main-stage speaker will be Professor Keith Meek, the head of Biophysics Research Group and school research mentor at Cardiff University.
Professor Meek will discuss his ongoing research programme that investigates the ultrastructure of connective tissues and the basis of the shape and transparency of the cornea.
Leader of the 100% Optical education programme and the AOP’s head of education, Dr Ian Beasley, commented: “Delegates will be fascinated by Professor Meek’s ongoing research projects, which aim to understand the basis of novel therapeutic regimes for corneal pathology, and his involvement in collaborative efforts to develop artificial biological corneal replacements.”
100% Optical will take place at the ExCeL, London on 6–8 February next year.
Education bookings will open for all visitors on 4 November.
