Optometry Today  Christmas giveaway 2021

Terms and Conditions (December 2021)

  1. The giveaway opens on Thursday 16 December 2021 and will close on Thursday 23 December 2021
  2. All entrants must adhere to the ‘How to enter’ guidelines posted on OT’s giveaway post
  3. The giveaway is open optometry students, pre-reg optometrists and optometrists in the UK only
  4. Multiple entries are permitted. Each tag of another Instagram account counts as one entry
  5. One winner will be selected at random using a randomiser tool to win all the prizes. There will be no runner up or secondary winners
  6. The giveaway prize is one occluder, one cross cyls set in a box, one bluminator and one voucher for £20 from Hotel Chocolat, which will be sent via UK Tracked and/or Signed for delivery
  7. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and there is no cash alternative
  8. All entrants accept that OT may use their data in order to contact them in relation to the giveaway
  9. All employees of the OT, Association of Optometrists, regular contributors of OT and AOP student representatives or council members are excluded from winning the competition prize. This includes any family members.
  10. OT takes no responsibility for loss, delay or damage incurred as a result of entering this giveaway
  11. OT are not responsible for any technical issues (or other) that impede an entrants’ entry being submitted correctly and/or in full by the deadline stated
  12. OT is not responsible for any changes in Instagram profiles or additional information at the time of entering the giveaway
  13. Under no circumstances will OT be held liable for any information relating to the giveaway which is accessed via third party websites or homepages that do not coincide with the original information or terms and conditions
  14. In the event of spam or fake account arising due to the giveaway, OT is not responsible for their actions but will report them to Instagram in a timely fashion if/when brought to our attention
  15. The winner will be contacted and announced within one month of the closing date
  16. If the winner fails to respond within five business days of the first notification, the winner will forfeit their right to claim the prize and a new winner will be selected at random
  17. OT will not be responsible for incorrect data entry when participating in the giveaway
  18. If the winner is unable to claim the prize for any reason OT reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner. OT will not be liable to reimburse the first winner with any prize in any capacity
  19. OT does not accept any responsibility for any liabilities, damage, disappointment, injury, death or loss incurred as a result of participating in the giveaway or accepting the prize. OT will only engage in liabilities that are not exempt by law and will only be limited to the minimum permissible by law
  20. OT reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of the giveaway without any notice
  21. The giveaway is not affiliated or sponsored by Instagram in any capacity
  22. The giveaway is not affiliated or sponsored by Hotel Chocolat
  23. The organiser of the giveaway is OT. All complaints in relation to the giveaway should be emailed to [email protected] and contact will be made within five business days.
