Cambridge-based independent Clamp Optometrists has been awarded a regional accolade in recognition of the customer service and experience that it offers customers.

The independent, which is part of the Hakim Group, received the Eye Care Specialists of the Year accolade at the Cambridgeshire Prestige Awards earlier this month. The annual local awards celebrate small and medium-sized businesses that have demonstrated success over the past 12 months.

Clamp Optometrists is based in Cambridge city centre and was established over a year ago. Today it is open seven days a week and offers appointments until 8pm on Wednesdays.

Speaking about the award, optometrist and clinical director, Mitesh Gandhi, said: “To win this award is amazing and I’m so proud of the team for the effort they put in every day.”

He added: “At Clamp we believe everyone deserves the best, especially in their eye care; everyone in the team works towards the same goal of improving the patient journey. We all work tirelessly every day to try and deliver excellent clinical care and attention to detail, so it’s a great privilege to be recognised across the Cambridgeshire area with this award.”
