20 20 Opticians has added hearing care services to its Wilson Street practice in Glasgow and appointed audiologist John Rennie to lead the new offering.
The practice is part of the Duncan and Todd Group, which now offers audiology services in 34 of its practices and has a team of 15 audiologists.
Mr Rennie previously worked as a dispensing optician before retraining as an audiologist, which he has worked as for five years.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Rennie said: “Hearing care is a vital health service, which has been recognised by 20 20 Opticians as a crucial aspect of our clients’ health and wellbeing. I am very much looking forward to playing a part in growing our hearing care services and spreading the importance of regular hearing checks.”
To reflect the changes, the practice has refreshed its displays and signage, and also increased its stock of high-end frames.
20 20 Opticians Wilson Street practice manager, Nicola Stewart, said: “The introduction of hearing care services to our Wilson Street store highlights our continued commitment to offering our customers the best service across both optometry and audiology, and the work underlines our aim of being a quality provider of eye care, fashionable glasses and hearing care.”
