M&S opens sixth opticians practice
The High Street retailer has opened M&S Opticians in Colney, London
22 March 2019
Marks & Spencer (M&S) has opened the sixth branch of its in-store opticians offering.
Opening M&S Opticians in its Colney, London store on 14 March, the mayor, councillor Rosemary Farmer, was in attendance for an official ribbon cutting ceremony, during which free eye tests and eyewear discount vouchers were offered to customers.
The 123-sqft practice, which is located on the ground floor of the store, has been opened following a successful pilot by M&S last summer.
Speaking about the opening, optician manager, Alex Stewart, said: “We’re thrilled to finally launch what we hope will be the next chapter in M&S’ long history of serving British shoppers. We can’t wait to show off our new store and the state-of–the art optical services we can offer to London Colney shoppers.”
M&S Opticians are currently located in stores in London Westfield White City, Bolton, Derby, Manchester and York.
