The multiple has celebrated the commitment of 88 employees

Peter Jackson and Julian Treharne

Vision Express has recognised the work of 88 of its longest serving members of staff who, combined, have served 1690 years with the company.

Optometrist Peter Jackson, from the multiple’s New Milton branch, and Julian Treharne, a dispensing optician and manager of the Bridgend store, have both marked 40 years of service.

Mr Jackson, who is preparing to retire at the end of the year, said: “It has been a great company to work for.”

Vision Express hosts its Long Service Awards annually to recognise staff who have been with the company for 15 years or more. This year it rewarded five employees who reached 30 years of service, 12 who marked 25 years, 25 who have reached 20 years and 44 members who have been with the multiple for 15 years.

HR director at Vision Express, Kate Glasby, said: “Our employees are what makes our company the success it is today, and we are delighted to recognise their loyalty and hard work. We’re very fortunate to have such dedicated and experienced staff who really make a difference every day and, as we celebrate the company’s own 30-year milestone, our thanks and congratulations go to each and every one of them.”
