Independent optical group Valli Opticians has hosted an annual conference and awards in recognition of staff across its 14 practices in the north of England.
The day, which was hosted at Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield on 4 November, was fairground-themed and provided employees with the opportunity to learn from other practices.
During the day, practices were put into pairs, with the aim of “twinned” branches working together over the next 12 months to provide support and mentoring for each other.
An awards ceremony in the evening saw accolades including Employee of the Year, Best Newcomer of the Year and Branch of the Year given out.
Valli Opticians’ Meltham practice was awarded Branch of the Year in recognition of “an exceptional year that showed significant growth and outstanding clinical and customer care.”
Manager of the branch, Rachael Rose, said: “We are proud that out of all 14 branches we were chosen to be branch of the year. This is down to having a team who truly care about looking after our clients like they are family. We hope we have done Meltham proud.”
The event was supported by Hoya, CooperVision and Dunelm Optical.
