Edmonds & Slatter holds charity golf day
03 November 2017
Independent opticians group, Edmonds & Slatter has hosted its first-ever charity golf day to raise funds for Guide Dogs.
Recognising the charity during Guide Dogs Week (6–14 October), the day was hosted by the opticians’ optometrist and partner Saagar Hirani and raised £394.
Fundraising begun “right from tee-off,” the opticians told OT, with players “fined” for a range of things in order to boost funds. Golfers who took part in the charity event closed the day with a Sunday lunch and raffle with the opportunity to win a pair of golfing sunglasses.
Prizes were given out on the day for the longest drive and the closest to the pin. There was also a ‘top dog’ accolade for the best player and an ‘in the doghouse’ award for the worst.
