The multiple’s HR director, Kate Clayton (pictured), who joined the company on an apprenticeship at the age of 17 and has now been with the company for two decades, has been shortlisted for Personnel Today’s HR Director of the Year accolade.
Rising through the ranks from an apprentice, the multiple labels Ms Clayton’s main achievements as HR director as: retaining staff and maintaining peer satisfaction during crucial milestones including four acquisitions; the company’s support office relocation; the opening of its new central lab facility; and the introduction of new financial and operational systems.
Referring to the HR director’s success, CEO of Vision Express, Jonathan Lawson, said: “Kate is an integral leader within Vision Express and a team member who always leads by example. We are extremely proud of her shortlist, it is very well deserved.”
