Boots Opticians introduces patient feedback service

The multiple is one of the first opticians to establish a nationwide independent healthcare feedback service

Boots Opticians

Boots Opticians has introduced a nationwide public-facing feedback service, which encourages patients to rate and review the service they receive in any of its practices across the UK. It is the first national opticians to introduce an independent healthcare feedback tool of this kind.

Patients will also be able to rate the optometrists and contact lens opticians that they are seen by instore via the iWantGreatCare, the UK’s largest independent healthcare rating and review website, receiving over 100,000 new reviews to the site every month.

The review service enables patients to rate and review each practice and practitioner using a rating system, which ranges from one to five stars. They can also rate the information that they were given during their appointment, if the practice staff were ready to assist and whether they would recommend the practice or practitioner to other people.

All reviews and ratings will be publicly available through the iWantGreatCare website, and Boots Opticians will receive all feedback directly also. This, Boots Opticians said, will allow the multiple to “react quickly to any issues that are raised by patients and to easily identify areas where excellent service and care is taking place.”

Commenting on introducing the service, managing director of Boots Opticians, Ben Fletcher said: "I’m delighted we are partnering with iWantGreatCare. We are committed to ensuring our patients receive the best possible service and treatment and we are confident that giving patients an independent feedback option will help us ensure more people have a great experience when they visit Boots Opticians."
