Christmas appeal by Specsavers staff

Specsavers Shipley and Idle Christmas charity appeal

Staff at Specsavers’ Shipley and Idle practices have established a Christmas appeal to encourage people to spread some festive cheer by helping those less fortunate.

The two practices are calling for people to drop off gift donations to the practice throughout November, which the team will donate to Cash for Kids. The charity, which supports children in need across the UK, will distribute the gifts to various children’s charities and organisations across Bradford, as well as to the Bradford Soup Kitchen to be shared with homeless people.

Director of both Specsavers branches, Bhrat Phakey, said: “Christmas is a time for giving, so we’re more than happy to be donating gifts and essentials to those who may not be as fortunate over the festive period.

“Whether it’s a box of Christmas chocolates or simply some basic toiletries, every little helps when it comes to thinking of others and giving to a good cause.”
