Edmonds & Slatter to host fundraising event for Guide Dogs

A Leicestershire-based independent opticians is calling on local dog owners to take part in a series of charity walks to raise funds for Guide Dogs.

Edmonds & Slatter is hosting its first Dogs Unite! walk on 23 October in Northfield Park from 10.30am. All dogs will be given a cape to wear during the walk and will receive a certificate of completion at the end.

Throughout 2016, the independent opticians is raising funds for Guide Dogs, its chosen charity of choice for the year.

Business manager at Edmonds & Slatter, Jess Slater, commented: “All dog lovers enjoy taking their lovely pet on fun walks, now they can do that and help Guide Dogs change the lives of people with sight loss.”

The independent suggests that those who take part in the walk donate £5 to the charity. People who wish to take part in the fundraising walk are required to register their interest with the opticians before the day by calling Edmonds & Slatter on 0116 277 7733.
