Practice chosen by mystery shoppers for customer service, store appearance and growth
15 October 2015
Optical Express in Southampton’s WestQuay shopping centre has been named Best Health and Beauty Retailer in the centre’s annual retail awards.
The award recipients were chosen by independent mystery shoppers who visited retailers throughout the year to judge them on customer service, store appearance and general growth.
Optical Express was chosen over other finalists in its category including Vision Express and The Body Shop. Among the winners in other categories were Pizza Express, Swatch and Marks & Spencer.
Optical Express’ WestQuay clinic offers a wide range of eye care services including laser eye surgery consultations and laser eye surgery.
Assistant manager for Optical Express at WestQuay, Rebecca Knight, accepted the award on behalf of the team.
Ms Knight said: “Receiving recognition from WestQuay’s retailer awards means a lot to all of the staff. We are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards, so it is great to know our customer service and clinical care has won the judging panel’s seal of approval.”
Ms Knight added: “We’re especially pleased that the award takes into consideration the standard of service all year round.”
WestQuay’s general manager, Andy Collyer, said: "We're thrilled to host the WestQuay retailer awards each year. It not only acts as an incentive for our retailers to maintain the high standards we are so proud of at the centre, but also rewards the hard work from each and every one of our employees."
