Optical Express is sponsoring a 24-hour ceilidh challenge which sees television presenter Lorraine Kelly dance her way from Dundee to Edinburgh this week.
Ms Kelly is taking part in the ceilidh to raise funds for the STV Children Appeal, which has been supported by Optical Express since it launched in 2011. This year, the multiple has pledged to raise £100,000 for the cause.
The annual appeal aims to help raise funds to help underprivileged children living across Scotland.
Speaking about the challenge, Ms Kelly, who is a trustee of the STV Children’s Appeal, said: “Each year I take on a fun challenge in aid of the Appeal and this year’s 24-hour ceilidh challenge will be no exception. I’m thrilled to have Optical Express getting behind me for the challenge so together.”
The challenge, which begins on Friday (11 September), will see Ms Kelly ‘do-si-doing’ around Scotland, making a number of stops along the way. This will include a visit to Optical Express’ Glasgow flagship practice where a charity ball will be hosted.
