Marcolin and Diesel end eyewear licence agreement

Eyewear company, Marcolin, and lifestyle brand, Diesel, have announced the termination of their long-standing eyewear licence agreement.

The agreement covered the design, manufacturing and global distribution of Diesel sunglasses and optical frames and began in 2010.

Making the announcement, the companies said: “After a successful 10-year partnership, the two groups mutually agreed to end their agreement on expiration of the term on 30 June 2021.”

Marcolin’s portfolio includes house brands; Web, Marcolin and Viva, and licensed brands including Tom Ford, Guess, adidas Originals, adidas Sport, Moncler and Swaovski.

The company distributes its products to more than 125 countries through its direct network and global partners.

Marcolin has made a series of updates to licensing agreements in recent months, with the early renewal of its agreement with lifestyle brand, Guess, extending the partnership until 2030, and the ending of a licence agreement with Dsquared2 on 30 June.
